A special polymer solid boron carbide abrasive is made by infiltrating other materials into the abrasive mixture. The abrasive size is related to the roughness of the workpiece surface. The abrasive has a fairly sharp cutting and self-sharpening properties.
It does not react with many non-metal (glass, ceramics) and some metal (zinc, steel and its alloy) materials and is suitable for processing glass, ceramics, stone, cast iron and some non-metal, cemented carbide, high speed steel, etc.
